Introduction

I always enjoy learning the meaning behind things. My daughter, for Christmas, gave me a song book that included explainations and stories behind the songs. I love that. it seems fitting to me then to explain where the name "Road Worthy" comes from. These two words are a combination of two things that I love: riding motorcycle, and the gospel of Jesus Christ. 'Road' is a reflection of taking a road trip on two wheels, and the following verse from the book of Philippians in the Bible the second part.

"Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel," Phil 1:27

This text was part of a passage considered for a road trip this past year; a retreat of sorts. We can do nothing on our own to earn or deserve God's favor or salvation. Its a free gift, given to us through grace and mercy.

This blog will record my thoughts as I live my life following Jesus Christ, learning and growing in what God has designed for my life. I hope that this will be an encouragement, at times educational and for most honoring to Jesus.
